Stormbows are generally speaking a 'core' item. However they're preferred nesting place is in the Underworld, also seen in the Tombs of Primeval Kings, and as the above caster has noted, rarely they can also be found in torment/anguish chests (only the critters which are normally found in UW can drop or cause the chests near to drop though - hence terrorwebs). I recently recieved an inscribable Shadow bow (the FoW equivalent of the Storm Bow) from the keyless treasure chest in Nightfallen Jahai, so it may be possible to get them from these chests as well.

im pretty sure they only drop from the folowing monsters:

ALL in FOW
ALL in UW
ALL in TOPK
terorweb dryders(<--in uw/fow and nightfall domain of fear)
grasps(<-- in topk and domain of fear)

i had a ethernal shield dropping from a grasp in domain of fear thougth, and friend also got one

never seen or heard of a stormbow drop in fow, must be kinda rare? perhaps from like certain critters, but I'm pretty sure the majority of Fow beasties won't drop eternal items or stormbows.

smite crawlers in UW seem to have the highest storm bow drop rate. Most of the ones I get in NM, however...are all crap.

I got a 15^50 one (currently on my ranger) from a chest in the second stage in tombs. Ive also got white and a purple ones from the uw.

I just did this run on normal mode and the first chest i opened had a r9 15^50 fiery storm bow of enchanting! and to think all i could afford was one key =p
